The Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon is a not-for-profit locally owned and operated race weekend that consists of a marathon, half marathon, team relay, 5k and kid’s fun run. The race was established in 2016 when our founding partners came together with the mindset of creating a professional event that would have a positive impact and benefit the local community.
The Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon Race Weekend has seven key initiatives integrated into our planning process. These initiatives represent the qualities and characteristics of the Chattanooga region:
- Manage a professionally operated event
- Engage participation of local residents
- Provide a community health and wellness opportunity
- Impact sports tourism
- Showcase our outdoor destination
- Animate our music scene
- Engage the corporate community
Through the combined efforts of our community partners, volunteers, spectators and racers we have been able to create a vibrant “Race Weekend” full of energy and excitement! Our Marathon Planning Committee is committed to add value to the Erlanger Marathon Race Weekend annually in order to maximize the weekend experience within our Chattanooga region. Please join us and experience 2019!
