Preparing the body for a marathon involves thousands of repetitive steps which overtax specific muscle groups. These include the hamstrings, hip flexors and calves but also the muscles of the outer hips and thighs.
Yoga Stretch helps lengthen out these tight spots, speed up recovery and restore your body to a natural range of motion to help you avoid overuse injuries. On the strength side, yoga stretch helps protect potential weak spots such as the core and spine stabilizers, and muscles of the
feet and ankles which absorb two to three times the body weight on every stride.
Join Heather Dendy, E-RYT 500, Friday night at 5:30-6:30pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:00-3:00pm to stretch & restore. Bring your mat.
