We are excited to return to racing! Our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our athletes, spectators, volunteers, and staff. As we navigate through these everchanging times, we will be continuously updating our policies, procedures, and approach to create the safest environment during the Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon Weekend.

The Erlanger Chattanooga Marathon Weekend Race changes:

· Event staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks the entire weekend.

· Event staff will increase athlete communication pre and during the event to ensure protocols are understood.

· Packet pickup will be more spread out and the option for appointment or timed pick up.

· Athletes will be required to sign a “Social Contract” indicating that they understand and agree to the protocols and basic event rules (wearing a mask, staying home if sick, etc.). Athletes that do not sign this contract will not be provided with a bib and a starting assignment. *Existing registrants will be emailed a digital “Social Contract” to sign, new registrants will sign when registering.

· Bag check is strongly discouraged.

· Face covering will be required prior to and after running. There will be an option to remove your mask when social distancing is achieved on course.

· Finisher bags will be pre-packaged, including medal, bottled water, chips/pretzels, and will be handed to the athlete as they finish to reduce congestion in the finish area.

· There will be no award ceremonies, awards will be mailed post-race.

· There will be no expo.

· There will be no results area, that information will be provided on the app instead, future communication will outline how and where to find this information.
